Groomer Operator

Job Summary

As a Groomer Operator - Mountain Operations at Dartmouth College, you will be responsible for operating groomers to ensure the highest quality of groomed snow surfaces for our guests. This role requires a strong understanding of large machinery, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities

* Operate groomers to ensure highest quality of groomed snow surfaces
* Maintain quality control of snow surfaces to ensure guest satisfaction
* Inspect and monitor equipment, promptly reporting any issues
* Accurately complete paperwork involving daily logs and maintenance reports
* Assist snowmaking teams in transportation, surface maintenance, and other duties as needed
* Assist in maintenance duties related to snowmaking and mountain operations systems, including but not limited to parking lots, timbering operations, and building maintenance
* Assist mountain operations with snow and ice mitigation, including shoveling and sanding
* Follow all policies and procedures of the Dartmouth Skiway

Requirements

* Basic knowledge/understanding of large machinery
* Good communications skills and patience
* Ability to create quality snow and snow surface
* Ability to operate a groomer
* Must be able to work independently
* Must hold a valid driver's license and be qualified under the terms of the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience working outdoors
* High school graduate or equivalent
