Key Responsibilities:
- Directs daily maintenance operations to optimize resource allocation and coordinate workflow based on production needs and equipment availability.
- Analyzes production and maintenance data, identifying trends to enhance maintenance strategies, thereby improving efficiency and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, performance standards, and operational procedures.
- Diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues, providing technical guidance and support to maintenance staff.
- Maintains inventory levels of critical repair components and manages external service contracts.
- Reviews maintenance logs and calibration records to ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Implements and tracks employee training programs to enhance skill development.
- Supervises daily departmental activities, including employee instruction, attendance monitoring, and staffing management to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years in a maintenance role, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership position within maintenance.
- Experience in developing maintenance policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with quality assurance systems and industry regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments to resolve issues.
- High attention to detail and a demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and strategic problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and statistical analysis software.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 15 years in a manufacturing or maintenance management role.
- Experience in creating preventive maintenance and safety initiatives.
- Prior experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- 20 years of expertise in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Normal visual and auditory capabilities.
- Average physical strength and mobility.
- Ability to perform prolonged walking and standing.
- Capability to lift weights of 30 lbs. or more.
Work Environment:
The work environment is characterized by moderate noise levels, with potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Activities may involve proximity to moving machinery and exposure to varying temperatures.
