Job Summary

At the Center for Strategic and International Studies, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized web designer to join our dynamic team. As a mid-level or senior web designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced-level digital products, including websites, dynamic data visualizations, and interactive digital features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital products, including websites, data visualizations, and interactive features
  • Collaborate with developers, product leads, and clients to design and develop digital products
  • Prepare and present design concepts and work to stakeholders
  • Lead on strategic design and user-experience decisions
  • Maintain resources and build practices to improve team processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in UX/UI design
  • Advanced understanding of UX best practices and design principles
  • Expert understanding of design and prototyping tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Excellent command of visual design capabilities, including composition, layout, information hierarchy, typography, and color discernment
  • Ability to create in a wide range of media, including web, social, email, and video
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with user interface design patterns, UCD methodologies, and common UX challenges
  • Strong interest in global affairs and public policy
  • Illustration skills
