Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a CNA-Hospice Aide to provide compassionate care to patients in various locations. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care in their homes.

Qualifications:

Education:

Preferred candidates will possess a High School Diploma and have successfully completed one of the following:
  1. A) A training program/competency evaluation as outlined in Medicare regulations
  2. B) A competency evaluation program meeting the specified standards
  3. C) A state-approved nurse aide training program listed in good standing on the state registry
  4. D) A state licensure program compliant with regulatory requirements
Licensure: A valid driver's license is required.

Experience:

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, or long-term care facilities, or have completed a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide program.

Skills:

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate clinical information effectively. A genuine interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly is essential. Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist is required.

Transportation:

Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance are necessary.

Working Conditions:

This position involves working in patients' homes under various conditions, including potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases. Flexibility in scheduling and local travel is required, along with the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Physical and Mental Demands:

The role requires prolonged standing and walking, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the capacity to assist patients with mobility. Candidates must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and respond to patient needs promptly. Proficiency in using durable medical equipment is also necessary.
