About the Role: We are seeking an experienced RN Med Surg Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse Coordinator ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care
- Supervise personnel providing direct patient care and delegates activities based on patient care needs and exercises judgement regarding patient care assignments using established policies/procedures and assessing competencies of available patient care staff
- Support the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations
- Perform Nurse Leader Rounding
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
- Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively superior organization
- Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor, including the administration of time & attendance within Kronos, in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- CA RN license in good standing
- BLS required
- Minimum 2 year of Med Surg Services experience required
- Leadership or management experience preferred
Salary and Benefits: $63,529 - $94,013 per year.
