Job Title: Web Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Services Engineer to join our team at FLASH Technology Group. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our web services infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Configuration: Install and configure web server software, such as Apache, Nginx, and IIS, and related components.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly update and patch web servers to ensure they are secure and performing optimally.
  • Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect web servers from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of server failure.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development and IT teams to support web application deployments and ensure smooth operation.
  • User Support: Provide support to users and developers for web server-related issues and inquiries.
  • Ticket-Based Support: Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring user satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with users and stakeholders, addressing their concerns, and providing solutions.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline server management tasks.
  • Compliance: Ensure that web server operations comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • HS/GED and 19 years of experience, or BS and 14 years of experience.
  • IAT Level 2 Certification.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and database management systems.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools and scripting languages.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Red Hat System Administrator (RHSA).
