Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to patients, including medical treatments, administering medications, and assisting in care planning and recording. The LPN will work in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist professional nursing and medical staff in providing direct nursing care to patients
  • Take and record vital signs, collect specimens for testing, and administer medications per physician orders
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in patients' electronic medical records
  • Screen patients and record medical information, assist physicians and registered nurses in examinations and treatments
  • Provide emotional and physical comfort and safety to patients
  • Assist in responding to medical and psychiatric emergencies
  • Collaborate with physicians to meet patient care needs
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as grooming and personal hygiene
  • May testify in court and commitment hearings when deemed necessary
  • Respond to inquiries from family members, advocates, and other interested parties while ensuring compliance with confidentiality laws and HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

  • Valid LPN License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Compassionate and dedicated to providing excellent patient care
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling
