Job Summary

Michael Baker International is seeking a highly skilled Civil EIT to contribute to our Construction Services team in Ridgeland, MS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and preparing final bid packages for transportation-related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop design plans, design variations, and exceptions for transportation projects
  • Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages
  • Collaborate with transportation staff to develop transportation projects, including roadway, bridge, rail, and transportation planning
  • Produce geometric design, including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, and typical sections of roadways and highways
  • Apply industry design standards, including AASHTO
Requirements
  • BSCE in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college
  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • EIT license in Mississippi, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, and/or Open roads preferred
