Aerospace Development Position

Scaled Composites is a leading aerospace research company located in Mojave, CA. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Pilot to join our team and contribute to the development of new aircraft and systems. As a key member of our flight operations department, you will be responsible for piloting multiple experimental aircraft, including chase, pace, photo, and target aircraft. You will also be required to write flight test plans, test cards, flight reports, and final test reports. In addition, you will lead and participate in system design and design reviews, develop test strategies, test plans, and test procedures for aircraft and components, and create and update Pilot Operating Handbooks. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1000 hours of total PIC flight time, with experience in flying different types of aircraft. They will also hold a FAA Commercial Single and Multi-Engine Land pilots license with Instrument Rating, and have completed a full course test pilot school graduate or equivalent training and experience. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar technical field, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance and program access.
