About This Role

As a Post Anesthesia Registered Nurse with TotalMed, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Your role will involve ensuring a smooth transition from surgery to recovery, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and offering emotional support during the post-anesthesia period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU
  • Monitor vital signs, assess patients' conditions, and manage pain and discomfort
  • Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams to ensure seamless transitions from surgery to recovery
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions and potential complications
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and adhere to hospital policies and protocols
Requirements
  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other certifications as required by facility)
  • 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
