Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. This role involves performing highly diversified duties, including repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances, as well as troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting all job duties in accordance with company policy and all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance inspections and repairs on apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems.
  • Repair and maintain equipment owned by the apartment community, including proper storage in a secure location.
  • Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, changing out appliances, and ensuring timely completion of all unit turnovers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification, preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and have the ability to be medically fit for duty and cleared to wear a respirator.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
