Position Overview:
The Agricultural Applicator plays a crucial role in the precise customization and application of dry fertilizers across client fields while ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of applicator machinery.

Daily Responsibilities:

During the Season:

  • Recommend and apply pesticides and fertilizers using various vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of acres treated.
  • Conduct maintenance and calibration of application machinery.
  • Monitor and follow up on weed management in treated areas.
  • Utilize appropriate protective gear.

During the Off-Season:
  • Engage in ongoing education to maintain pesticide applicator certification.
  • Attend workshops focused on applicator equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on additional equipment and facilities.
  • Collect soil samples.
  • Prepare and mix dry and liquid fertilizers.
  • Transport agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and seeds.
  • Conduct customer sales visits.
  • Undertake other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience in operating large agricultural machinery is required.
  • A valid CDL A or B is necessary.
  • Additional licenses or certifications may be required in certain regions.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required.

Work Environment:

This role requires manual dexterity for various tasks, as well as the ability to communicate, hear, walk, stand, and sit. Occasionally, lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
