Position Overview:

Zobility is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with expertise in system-level engineering and electrical troubleshooting for automotive infotainment systems. This position requires collaboration with AM/FM, SDARS, Audio, Bluetooth, WiFi, and USB functionalities. The ideal candidate should possess a solid grasp of electrical schematics, system block diagrams, and component datasheets, along with the capability to analyze bench and vehicle-level log files while addressing customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and interpret data from LAN, LIN, and MOST buses, in addition to internal buses (I2C, etc.).
  • Modify calibrations on LAN and evaluate new software updates.
  • Conduct radar assessments on prototype units and assist with various automotive engineering projects as required.
  • Oversee the installation of surround view systems in demonstration vehicles.
  • Execute internal tests and support customer evaluations at multiple locations.
  • Utilize testing instruments such as signal generators, audio analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise generators, capture/playback simulations, oscilloscopes, pulse generators, and active probes.
  • Act as the primary liaison for information requests from the Product Development Team to the customer.
  • Provide essential information to both the customer and the corporate Product Development Team.
  • Conduct vehicle assessments including functional, noise, reception, and CD skip tests.
  • Perform both subjective and objective bench and field evaluations.
  • Calibrate audio systems within vehicles.
  • Review and negotiate customer specifications and requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve engineering and quality challenges.
  • Analyze warranty returns and customer plant issues to identify root causes.
  • Create technical documentation, including 5 phase reports and 8D reports.
  • Prepare necessary materials for customer engineering discussions.
  • Maintain and update open issue lists for customer engineering meetings.
  • Participate in project-related discussions with customers.
  • Occasionally attend industry trade shows to stay informed about market trends and relay findings to the corporate office.
  • Document minutes from customer meetings.
  • Comprehend customer requirements to provide clear guidance to the corporate Product Development Team.
  • Offer engineering support for Manufacturing, especially during product launches.
  • Test and adjust software calibrations and develop testing protocols for new requirements.
  • Evaluate new software updates and assess their overall impact on the system.
  • Support customer quality system standards.
  • Conduct market research and product planning activities as necessary.
