As part of the Consulting department, our Government Project Team's initiatives promote technological and business knowledge exchanges across various sectors between industry specialists, policymakers, and academia in Germany and the US through diverse industry events and initiatives. What does this internship involve?
- Assisting with project management, planning, and executing both virtual and in-person business delegation programs that enhance German-American collaboration in sectors such as renewable energy and sustainability, advanced manufacturing, automotive, and agtech.
- Engaging in event and conference planning and execution for the delegations.
- Conducting research and outreach to identify potential business partners in the US (sales and distribution partners, prospective clients, network partners, etc.) and coordinating B2B meetings.
- Performing primary and secondary research to gather market intelligence for client companies.
- Assisting in the research, writing, and potential publication of market analyses.
- Supporting initial inquiries from German companies regarding topics such as import and export regulations, product certification, visa regulations in the US, and general questions on US market entry as part of the public function of the German American Chamber of Commerce.

- High-level proficiency in English, with advanced German language skills being a plus.
- Strong research and communication skills (both verbal and written), attention to detail, and a robust work ethic.
- Solid understanding of fundamental business concepts.
