Executive Chef Job Description

Ruths Chris Steak House is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for the overall direction and success of our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure exceptional quality and consistency
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and food safety
  • Collaborate with the restaurant manager to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other kitchen expenses
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, techniques, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in high-volume, upscale restaurant operations
  • Formal culinary training and education preferred
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and guests
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
