Position Summary:
The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law is seeking applications from both new and experienced candidates for a career-line faculty role at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Law. This position offers multi-year appointments that may transition into a presumptively renewable five-year contract.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching a four-course load, including a mandatory section of the year-long (6-credit) first-year Legal Methods course.
- Supervising additional courses and programs, particularly focusing on upper-division writing and skills classes.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess a proven track record of excellence in legal practice, emphasizing strong writing and analytical capabilities. Previous teaching experience or demonstrated potential as an educator is essential. While interest in scholarly work is valued, it is not a prerequisite for this role.
