Responsibilities- Operate MRI Equipment: The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patient care.
- Prepare Patients: The MRI Technologist will prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and ensuring patient safety.
- Conduct MRI Procedures: The MRI Technologist will conduct MRI procedures, including placing specified coils close to the area of interest, operating imaging and other equipment devices, and keying in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.
- Ensure Patient Safety: The MRI Technologist will ensure patient safety, including explaining safety protocol, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed circuit TV.
- Orient New Hires: The MRI Technologist will orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
- Experience: The MRI Technologist must have at least 2 years of experience in MRI procedures and be fully proficient in all duties required of an MRI Technologist II.
- Licensure: The MRI Technologist must be licensed in the required state.
- BLS: The MRI Technologist must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge: The MRI Technologist must have knowledge of MRI protocols and procedures, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability: The MRI Technologist must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.
- Pay: The pay for this position will be based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
- Health Insurance: The MRI Technologist will be eligible for health insurance coverage.
- 401K Matching: The MRI Technologist will be eligible for 401K matching.
- New Licensing Reimbursement: The MRI Technologist will be eligible for new licensing reimbursement.
- Job Staffing: Focus Staff offers job staffing in all 50 states.
