Position Overview

The Cigar Sales Specialist at Gold Standard Enterprises, Inc. is responsible for showcasing an extensive understanding of cigars. A genuine enthusiasm for the product is essential, complemented by exceptional customer service abilities to enhance sales within the designated department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates sales growth and provides knowledgeable assistance to customers.
  • Continuously expands product knowledge relevant to the store's offerings.
  • Collaborates with team members to maintain an organized and visually appealing department and store; this includes the movement, stocking, and arrangement of products.
  • May assist in various other departments as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of cigars is required.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and management.
  • Capability to lift weights ranging from 40 to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Willingness to participate in tasting events and sample products to better guide customers in their choices.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Proficient in cash handling and making accurate change.
  • Ability to operate business equipment, including scanners and computer keyboards.
  • Must successfully complete any required alcohol training and maintain a valid certification.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Legible writing skills are necessary.
  • Ability to read small print.
  • Willingness to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to navigate stairs repeatedly.
  • Comfortable working in cooler environments.
  • Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is expected.

Compensation for this role ranges from $16.25 to $18.00, depending on experience and availability.

Part-time positions in Cigar Sales are also available.
