Job Summary

The Cook prepares and cooks meals for guests of the restaurant and/or banquet functions. This role requires a creative, motivated, and passionate individual who is able to work breakfast and lunch shifts. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment and a strong desire to learn and develop skills in the culinary arts.

Responsibilities
  • Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté, and fry)
  • Assist the culinary leadership team in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat)
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Be responsible for the quality of ingredients
Requirements
  • 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Active ServeSafe certification or the ability to get it
  • Must be willing to work a variety of days and weekend shifts
  • Requires strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Have a desire to exceed expectations
  • An energetic personality
Compensation

The compensation for this position is $20.00/Hr. - $27.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
