About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Foreman to join our team at ADB Companies Inc. as a Fiber Installation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the installation of fiber optic cable for diverse and exciting telecommunication projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master manual labor and operations at an advanced level, including hand digging, traffic control setup, advanced equipment operations, fiber placement, loading materials, operating equipment, and leading crews on safety-sensitive utility construction sites.
  • Excel in utility print and map reading, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and equipment, loading and unloading them at construction yards and jobsites.
  • Review, understand, and provide redline and production reports to supervisors and upper management, contributing to project success.
  • Possess a deep understanding of project scope changes and demonstrate the ability to identify change orders.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of fiber installation and utility industry operations, taking on challenging projects with complex installation needs, varying ground conditions, specific equipment requirements, and emergency situations.
  • Prove at least 2 years of independent operating experience with various equipment, fully trained in safety regulations for heavy equipment operation.
  • Support and lead the setup and shutdown of utility construction projects, including traffic control, in diverse conditions.
  • Make safety an unwavering expectation, leading by example, and adhering to required safety practices for safety-sensitive duties.
  • Exhibit professionalism in communication with customers, subcontractors, homeowners, and effectively address any complaints or issues that may arise.
  • Play a key role as a trainer, contributing to the development and growth of other crew members.
  • Inspire a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations, and lead others on jobsites.
  • Engage in on-the-job training with supervisors, fostering your skills in the utility construction trade.
  • Cultivate a hazard-identifying culture through the pre-task process.
  • Fulfill other position duties as requested.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in utility construction, including crew leadership, foreman roles, and/or senior foreman positions.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as hydro, directional drill, mini excavator, and plow.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • CDL License (or the ability to obtain one).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Compensation

This position starts at $33 an hour and is determined by experience and skillset.
