Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist at American Family Care, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position requires strong leadership skills, as you will supervise X-Ray Technologist staff and ensure the smooth operation of our imaging department.

Responsibilities
  • Interview, hire, and train all x-ray staff to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and patient care.
  • Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate and clear manner, ensuring they feel at ease during their visit.
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, taking into account their comfort and safety.
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure and ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician or radiologist.
  • Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies.
  • Aid physicians with prescribed patient treatments, following approved standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Be willing to cross-train in other roles, such as medical assisting and reception, to support the needs of our clinic.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • ARRT registration or board eligibility is preferred, as well as licensure per state regulation.
  • In some states, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification may be acceptable.
Compensation

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $80.00 per hour.
