Job Summary:

As an MRI Technologist at Optum, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the future of healthcare. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team and help us shape the future of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification
Demonstrate competency in operating MRI equipment and associated software
Ensure patient safety through education and proper screening protocols
Maintain effective communication with radiologists, patients, and other healthcare professionals
Perform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up and conducting MRI procedures
Acquire patient chart data and review requisitions to determine correct room setup and medical needs
Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and safety
Provide coverage as needed and provide instruction/mentoring to new hires
Maintain quality standards and assist in the completion of accreditation processes

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification
MRI certification
State of NM licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
1+ years of MRI Technologist experience
Proven ability to follow oral and written instructions
Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees

Physical Demands:

Requires standing and walking for extended periods
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films
