Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and discharging patients referred for occupational therapy services. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify their occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions to patients, including exercises, activities, and education to promote independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.
  • Assist with staff orientation, mentorship, and competency assessment of new staff members.
  • Contribute to program development and performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of current clinical practice experience.
  • Valid PA state license in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • BLS and CPR certification required via AHA.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular contact with children, and the selected candidate will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including a Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, a Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check.
