Position Overview
SAIC is looking for a Network Administrator to support the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES). The primary objective of NITES is to empower the J6 in delivering enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) consistently, reliably, and economically to fulfill the N&NC mission.
The Network Operations (NetOps) team is accountable for the functionality, operation, maintenance, and security of the N&NC's computer network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include switching, routing, firewall management, performance monitoring, security oversight, and system backup and disaster recovery.
A successful candidate will engage in the following responsibilities:
- Ensure continuous network support availability, 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7), in alignment with N&NC Tier Support Requirements. On-site support will be provided during standard working hours, with on-call assistance during off-hours.
- Utilize various enterprise monitoring tools to assess network performance, addressing anomalies, bulletins, and alerts pertinent to the enterprise network. The contractor will also be tasked with the installation and upkeep of network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Develop troubleshooting and maintenance protocols, executing fault isolation and diagnostic tasks to ensure prompt corrective actions are taken in real-time.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, accompanied by five years of experience, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Possession of a Secret clearance.
- Certification at IAT Level II, such as Security +, is mandatory for this role.
- Experience within a military setting and/or effective communication with mid to senior-level military personnel is highly preferred.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Adherence to customer site vaccination requirements is necessary when work is conducted at a customer location.
