Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Sevita. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and Evaluate: Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language skills, development, articulation ability, and voice and fluency disorders of individuals served.
  • Develop and Implement Therapy Plans: Direct and administer speech therapy using evidence-based techniques to assist in the rehabilitation of individuals with functional disabilities of speech, language, voice, and swallowing.
  • Review and Evaluate Medical Records: Review medical records, test, and evaluate individuals served to develop therapy treatment plans.
  • Identify and Develop Intervention Strategies: Identify and develop intervention strategies to address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with team members, including family members and primary caregivers, to ensure the maintenance of or to achieve the ideal functioning level for each person served.
  • Coordinate Home Care Services: Ensure effective coordination of individual's served home care services.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Experience: One year experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Vehicle: Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
  • Background Checks: Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
  • Attitude and Approach: Reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
  • Commitment to Quality: Commitment to quality in everything you do.
