Job Summary

The Full-Time Total Direct Delivery Local Driver position is responsible for transporting popular products to local destinations. As a key component of PepsiCo's success, Frito-Lay has been making the very best snacks for over 80 years, including Classic Lays, Cheetos, and Doritos.

This role involves unloading products, placing them onto carts or pallets, and delivering them via a 53' trailer in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. You can expect to work 40 to 45 hours per week, including holidays and weekends, with start times varying by route.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload products and place them onto carts or pallets
  • Deliver products via a 53' trailer in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Pre- and post-trip truck inspections
  • Maintain driver's daily logs
  • Check in products at customer locations and obtain signatures of receipt
  • Pick up returns and cardboard
  • Complete related paperwork
Requirements
  • Class A CDL with 100,000 miles or 2,500 verifiable safe hours
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and off-shift hours
  • Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Capacity to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, up to five hours daily, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to work in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces

  • Attention to Detail: A sharp eye is necessary for reviewing weight limits on manifests and counting cases to ensure orders are correct
  • Initiative: You will often work independently, requiring the ability to stay focused and complete the job without direct supervision
  • Flexibility: Like many Frito-Lay employees, you will work weekends, holidays, and at varying times with no set schedule
  • Safety-Minded: Safety is everyones responsibility. As a driver, you must practice defensive driving and adhere to safety protocols
  • Coachable: You can receive feedback and adjust your processes for efficiency, speed, safety, and other shared goals
  • Integrity: You help provide feedback on safety hazards and issues with delivery sites, ensuring we maintain high standards
  • Teamwork: You will interact with team members, managers, and external partners, always focusing on team goals
