Key Responsibilities:
1. Review patient medical histories and physician orders to prepare for imaging procedures.
2. Educate patients about the imaging process, equipment, and examinations to promote understanding and cooperation.
3. Administer contrast media and medications as per the scope of practice, monitoring patient conditions throughout the process.
4. Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
5. Position patients accurately for imaging and perform necessary procedures, troubleshooting any issues that arise with image quality.
6. Document and report imaging results accurately, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist license (RT(R)) and/or NMTCB certification (RT(N)).
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in hospital training during the Radiologic Technologist program.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Certifications:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
