Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As an Alarm Service Technician, you will:

  • Represent and uphold the Company’s standards in the field through pre-sale site assessments, equipment installations, repairs, and customer training.
  • Conduct equipment installations, repairs, and inspections as directed.
  • Perform facility site evaluations to assess the compatibility of products manufactured and/or sold by the Company.
  • Utilize maps and instructions to locate devices across various facilities.
  • Employ small hand tools effectively.
  • Provide training to facility staff on the operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
  • Maintain communication with your Supervisor and submit daily and weekly production reports.
  • Refer to product documentation, configuration manuals, and knowledge base articles to accurately install, configure, and test equipment.
  • Adhere to processes and procedures while working independently or collaboratively.
  • Interpret and understand a Scope of Work to ensure project completion is thorough and accurate.
Work Schedule

Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or holiday work required based on operational needs.

Physical Requirements

The role necessitates:

  • Climbing and standing on ladders for extended periods.
  • Working with tools overhead for prolonged durations.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs, with 75 lbs in certain situations.
  • Remaining on your feet for extended periods while navigating throughout the facility.
Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel to remote locations as necessary.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of foundational electronics repair/installation experience.
  • 1 year of experience in wiring, cabling, and/or security system installation and service.
  • A valid driver's license with no restrictions.
  • Basic computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, and Windows); intermediate Windows experience is advantageous.

Preferred:

  • Experience with RF technology.
  • An Associate Degree in Electronics or a related field, or equivalent training.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licensing for the assigned region.
  • Experience in PC Networking and PC-Based System Integration.
  • Experience in field service and customer training.
Additional Information

This position involves delivering on-site services at customer facilities, particularly in healthcare settings. Compliance with vendor credentialing systems specified by customers may be required, including:

  • Verification of vaccination records or immune titers for MMR, Tdap, Varicella, COVID-19, and Hepatitis B.
  • Annual TB screening with a negative test and confirmation of flu vaccination status.
