We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team at Reeves Construction Company in Augusta, GA.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will operate a dump truck to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, coal, and bituminous paving materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety excellence and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a dump truck to transport and dump loose materials
- Conduct pre-trip inspection checklist on equipment
- Handle paperwork concerning Department of Transportation regulations, freight weigh bills, fuel tickets, and load tickets
- Carry out detailed instructions and take directions to job sites
- Use good judgment in decision-making and work without direct supervision
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Ability to work days and nights, including some Saturdays
- Meet all DOT requirements for CDL drivers, including the DOT physical exam
The physical demands of this job include:
- Climbing onto and up and down a vehicle several times a day
- Sitting in a vehicle and operating it for several hours without stopping
- Withstanding vibration from the truck, road, and job site conditions
- Using arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions
- Performing light manual duties such as sweeping debris and rocks out of the truck bed or trailer
The work environment for this job includes:

- Wet and/or humid conditions
