Job Description

The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for visits and administering injections as prescribed by providers
  • Preparing and administering medications in accordance with federal and state regulations
  • Assisting providers with various procedures and exams
  • Performing Point of Care Testing and removing sutures and changing dressings as necessary
  • Providing clinical advice by phone and electronic correspondence, and relaying information to patients
  • Authorizing prescription refills and assisting with test tracking and monitoring overdue results
  • Assuring exam rooms are adequately supplied and cleaned after each patient visit

The ideal candidate will possess a Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution and have one to two years of experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office. A valid driver's license is required for regional positions.
