Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SANE Nurse Examiner to join our team. The successful candidate will provide timely, non-judgmental, and compassionate care to sexual assault victims, conducting medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis, and referrals for follow-up care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing crisis intervention services to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and strangulation
  • Conducting medical-forensic exams, including evidence collection and documentation
  • Administering prophylactic medications and emergency contraception
  • Coordinating referrals for follow-up care and support services
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure or higher
  • CPR or BLS certification
  • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum) current or within 6 months of employment
  • Minimum two years nursing experience in women's health, emergency department, or intensive care (preferred)
  • Completion of the Texas Statewide SANE didactic training and clinical components

Please note that this is a full-time position with regular working hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm) and occasional on-call hours. You will be required to maintain your SANE credentials and participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
