Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Supplier Quality Assurance Expert to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or support audits of suppliers' manufacturing and quality processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Promote and facilitate the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement, such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to suppliers to solve process and product quality issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed and accurate reporting of supplier performance and quality improvement progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of various engineering processes, standard drawings conventions, interpreting drawing specifications, and GD&T.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading customer audits and knowledge of FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills, as well as project management, time management, problem-solving, and organization skills.
