Job SummaryAs a Paralegal Specialist at Synacor Inc, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Legal Department by preparing and reviewing legal documents, organizing and maintaining contracts, and handling various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review legal documents, including NDAs, SOWs, termination letters, and client and vendor agreements.
- Develop and/or revise templates for standard documents.
- Organize and maintain legal documents in the company's contract management system, tracking milestone dates and other requirements.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reporting on new and expiring agreements.
- Distribute fully executed agreements to internal teams with a summary of salient terms.
- Work with vendors to maintain domestic and international subsidiaries.
- Maintain the company's Intellectual Property portfolio.
- Assist with corporate transactions, such as due diligence for M&A.
- Coordinate the annual corporate insurance renewal application process.
- Manage the Anti-Corruption policy acknowledgment process.
- Work with internal customers on miscellaneous legal tasks.
- Conduct research on U.S. and international laws.
- Review mail coming to the legal department and handle accordingly.
- Prepare documents and other instruments for mailing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Notary Public designation is a plus, or willingness to become a notary.
- 4-5 years' experience working as a paralegal.
- Certificate in paralegal studies is preferred.
- Corporate legal experience is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, and experience with a contract management system is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand complex agreements.
