Job Summary

As a Paralegal Specialist at Synacor Inc, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Legal Department by preparing and reviewing legal documents, organizing and maintaining contracts, and handling various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review legal documents, including NDAs, SOWs, termination letters, and client and vendor agreements.
  • Develop and/or revise templates for standard documents.
  • Organize and maintain legal documents in the company's contract management system, tracking milestone dates and other requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reporting on new and expiring agreements.
  • Distribute fully executed agreements to internal teams with a summary of salient terms.
  • Work with vendors to maintain domestic and international subsidiaries.
  • Maintain the company's Intellectual Property portfolio.
  • Assist with corporate transactions, such as due diligence for M&A.
  • Coordinate the annual corporate insurance renewal application process.
  • Manage the Anti-Corruption policy acknowledgment process.
  • Work with internal customers on miscellaneous legal tasks.
  • Conduct research on U.S. and international laws.
  • Review mail coming to the legal department and handle accordingly.
  • Prepare documents and other instruments for mailing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Notary Public designation is a plus, or willingness to become a notary.
  • 4-5 years' experience working as a paralegal.
  • Certificate in paralegal studies is preferred.
  • Corporate legal experience is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, and experience with a contract management system is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand complex agreements.
