Role Overview:
Within the Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance, we collaborate with clients and partners to cultivate professional skills, implement evidence-based initiatives, and advocate for policies that promote healthier communities. Located within the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory Centers offers cutting-edge training, technical support, and resources designed to enhance leadership, boost organizational capabilities, and fortify partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as project leader, overseeing the creation of educational materials.
- May supervise project personnel.
- Serve as a liaison with external organizations in the production of educational resources.
- Collaborate with faculty to create instructional materials for various delivery methods, including in-person, online, and multimedia formats.
- Conduct research and develop case studies relevant to the subject matter for digital and distance learning applications.
- Work alongside multimedia developers to produce educational content.
- Assist faculty in incorporating instructional technologies into their teaching.
- Perform related duties as necessary.
Additional Information:
This position will provide comprehensive support for curriculum design, instructional development, and the writing and editing of educational products. Collaborate closely with the health equity CORE team to ensure the inclusion of culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate content.
- Design curriculum and instructional strategies, along with assessments for online learning using tools like Articulate.
- Support the development and updates of curriculum products and educational tools.
- Ensure quality control of webinar content and other training materials through editing and maintaining a standardized appearance.
- Provide editing and script assistance for podcasts as required.
- Manage the Learning Management System and contribute to its structure; provide regular tracking reports to the evaluation team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field, with five years of experience in adult education, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively; strong verbal and written communication skills; and capability to engage with faculty and staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current knowledge of pedagogical issues concerning education and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in curriculum development and the creation of educational materials, training programs, and toolkits.
- Proficiency in adapting educational resources for diverse adult learners and learning styles.
- Experience in modifying learning curricula for various delivery formats, including online and virtual environments.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
- Experience with instructional design technologies for content creation, such as Articulate and Captivate.
- Knowledge of adapting educational materials for compliance with accessibility standards.
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to develop high-quality training and technical assistance resources.
- Background in developing health-related training and technical assistance programs is advantageous.
Work Environment:
This role offers the flexibility to work remotely on a regular basis, with the requirement to commute as needed based on business demands. The schedule will adhere to agreed-upon departmental guidelines.
