Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Surgical Oncology unit, you will provide care for a diverse range of patients with various diagnoses, including orthopedic, trauma, surgical, and medical oncology, as well as pulmonary, renal, gastrointestinal, and cardiac conditions.

Our rapidly expanding oncology program is dedicated to delivering high-quality care based on the ONS curriculum and best practices. We emphasize post-surgical care focusing on pain management, early mobilization, and patient-centered education to ensure optimal outcomes. Our care model promotes collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietary, Nutrition, Palliative Care, and innovative nursing structures involving LPNs, CNAs, and RNs.

As a Registered Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and assessing patients' conditions and needs.
  • Collaborating with various disciplines to create personalized care plans.
  • Administering medications and treatments as per provider directives.
  • Creating a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Qualifications:

We seek dedicated team members who embody compassion, excellence, and reverence in all interactions. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to effectively delegate and supervise team members. We are committed to professional growth and support for all Registered Nurses.

Additional Requirements:

  • Current RN license valid in our state.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, CNOR, CEN) are preferred.
  • Additional certifications or licenses may be necessary for specific specialty areas.
