Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our industrial maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of material handling systems, including preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems, including mechanical power transmission, electrical, and PLC/controls.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults and failures, and repair or replace components as needed.
  • Utilize Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
  • Collaborate with department, operations, vendors, and support teams to resolve issues and complete projects.
  • Develop scopes of work and project plans for small-scale projects.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade, or related area, and an associate degree in a related area preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in Industrial Maintenance with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical, and working knowledge of PLC/controls and welding/fabrication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures as directed by work orders or high-level technicians/management.
  • Ability to interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manufacturer's manuals, and engineering specifications.
Working Conditions

Will need to use hand tools and possibly power tools. May be working in hot or cold temperatures. May need to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat.
