Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn components on railcar equipment, including truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems.
  • Determine the need for repairs by inspecting bearings, seals, gaskets, wheels, and coupler assemblies.
  • Test and operate engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Clean units and components to ensure proper operation.
