Overview:

The role of a Service Technician is crucial in our commitment to enhancing and preserving lives. As part of a dedicated team, you will engage in the repair and electrical mechanical testing of medical device equipment. Adhering to established quality standards, you will meticulously document your findings in our system of record. Additionally, you may support various functions within the value stream, including shipment preparation, repair, or testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety standard operating procedures (SOPs), equipment policies, and departmental requirements.
  • Foster a culture of safety by maintaining the belief that all accidents can be prevented, striving for zero harm in the workplace.
  • Adhere to defined Quality Management Systems and complete all necessary documentation as per procedures.
  • Ensure a seamless flow in the servicing line, working both independently and collaboratively to meet process yield targets.
  • Utilize sound judgment based on established procedures and device readings to navigate the service or testing process, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Rotate through various roles, including assembly, repair, packaging, spare parts, and testing operations as required.
  • Provide training to colleagues on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, which may include:
    • Employing a range of hand and power tools, such as tube cutters and crimp machines, to assemble and disassemble medical devices.
    • Utilizing machinery and test aids to conduct tests, measure devices, and analyze data to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Conducting scheduled calibrations of testing stations and equipment to verify functionality.
    • Assembling packaging materials and preparing medical devices for shipment.
    • Transporting pallets of finished goods for outgoing deliveries.
