We are seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our projects by calculating costs associated with commercial ground-up projects, ensuring accurate estimates and exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents for estimation and analysis.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying project details and market trends.
- Analyze data to compute costs accurately, considering market prices for materials and labor, and collaborating with insurance adjusters and subcontractors to refine estimates.
- Provide clear explanations of cost breakdowns to clients, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Ensure estimates align with our commitment to excellence, reviewing and validating data to minimize discrepancies.
- Leverage software tools, such as Destini or HCSS HeavyBid, for efficient estimation and data analysis.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably with exposure to ground-up construction projects.
- Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
- Excellent knowledge of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
- Comfortable with numbers and technology, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
