Job Description

The Food Service Supervisor will lead a team of kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals to inmates. This includes supervising inmate labor and team members, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

* Supervise inmate labor and/or team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts
* Prepare, assist, or instruct inmates and team members in the preparation of quality foods according to planned menus, recipes, and work instructions
* Ensure that all food is stored properly and in sanitary manner
* Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department policies and procedures
* Utilize kitchen utensils/equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food according to recipes

Requirements

* High School Diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age
* Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred

Salary

$43,800 - $51,200 per year, depending on experience.
