Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to autistic children, helping them thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support in a 1:1 teaching format to autistic children, implementing behavior analytical techniques to enhance communication, self-help skills, and social interactions.
  • Utilize positive reinforcement strategies and antecedent modifications to foster the development of appropriate behaviors over time.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of instructional materials, ensuring that each child's learning experience is tailored to their unique needs and preferences.
  • Keep accurate records of client performance and progress through meticulous data collection and clinical notes.
  • Manage challenging behaviors with care and professionalism, following Behavior Care Plans and directives from Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience/strong interest in working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is required.
  • Ability to follow the Behavior Care Plans and directions provided by the supervising BCBA.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to read and write English fluently is required.
  • Must be able to pass a state and FBI background check and state child abuse clearance.
  • Have familiarity with modern technology, i.e., PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets. Training will be provided on the systems used.
  • Must be able to obtain RBT certification within 60 days of hire, if working in PA, and within 45 days of hire, if working in MD (cost covered by MAC).
