Key Responsibilities
- Assume a foundational leadership role in clinical bedside care while seeking mentorship for professional growth.
- Engage as a professional member of the nursing governance body, contributing insights on relevant issues discussed in meetings.
- Participate in councils and quality teams to drive improvements in nursing-sensitive indicators, employee engagement, and patient experience metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to attract and retain a high-caliber nursing staff.
- For new graduate RNs, the emphasis will be on developing competencies and progressively managing more complex patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a valid RN license in Georgia.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Experience: A minimum of three years in Critical Care; Emergency Department experience is a plus.
- Certification: National certification in a clinical specialty is required within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensure: National certification in a clinical specialty.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Experience: Five years in Critical Care; Emergency Department experience is advantageous.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing supervisors, critical care staff, and physicians to ensure patient safety.
- Demonstrated capacity to plan, organize, and evaluate patient care activities.
- Proficient clinical and technical skills.
- Strong critical thinking abilities in assessments and interventions, with clear communication to nursing administration.
Physical Requirements
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Vision: Moderate vision requirements, frequently needed.
- Mobility: Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, standing, and walking.
