We are seeking a highly skilled MedSurg RN to join our team of travel nurses in Lander, Wyoming. With a median salary range of $120,000 per year, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals looking to advance their careers.

Job Description:

This position requires a strong background in acute care with 1-2 years of recent experience. As a MedSurg RN, you will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs, and performing ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by a physician.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accurate documentation. In addition, they should be able to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout the treatment process.

  • Provide high-quality bedside care to a diverse range of patients, including pre- and post-operative patients.
  • Administer prescribed medications and document any adverse reactions.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures and develop personalized care plans.

A Medical Surgical Travel Nurse must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, bending, leaning, and stooping without difficulty. They should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, often dealing with confused, agitated, or uncooperative patients.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
