Job Title: Travel Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Redding, California. As a travel Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients in the acute care setting, providing evaluation and development of plans of care to improve, regain, and develop skills needed for daily life.

Responsibilities:
  • Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
  • Evaluate patients' conditions and needs.
  • Develop treatment plans, identifying specific goals and activities to help patients work towards those goals.
  • Help patients with disabilities perform daily tasks.
  • Evaluate patients' homes or workplaces and identify potential improvements.
  • Educate patients' families and employers on how to accommodate and care for patients.
  • Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use it.
  • Assess and record patients' activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Requirements:
  • 6 months of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
