Job Summary

We're seeking a full-time psychiatrist to join our team of medical professionals. The ideal candidate is clinically competent, flexible, team-oriented, and empathetic. As a psychiatrist with Relief Mental Health, you'll work with other clinicians and staff members to create an environment that promotes patient well-being and provides comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate individuals who are referred for psychiatric assessment and develop treatment plans that fit their needs in accordance with best practices.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff to communicate with medical providers outside the organization and compile documentation in accordance with organization's policies and procedures.
  • Provide crisis intervention and assessment, and work with patients and caregivers to develop comprehensive plans of care.
  • Diagnose individuals based on psychiatric evaluation, develop treatment plans, and provide support when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Doctor of medicine (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
  • License to practice medicine in the state of Illinois and active DEA license.
  • Extensive knowledge and familiarity with DSM criteria and in-depth knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods.
  • Board certified or Board eligible in psychiatry and excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
