Join the Air Force Civilian Service Team as a Firefighter (Hazardous Materials Technician)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter (Hazardous Materials Technician) to join our team at the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in Warner Robins, Georgia. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing fire protection and emergency response services to our airfield and surrounding facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency situations, including fires, hazardous material releases, and other incidents that require immediate attention.
  • Operate and maintain fire suppression equipment, including fire trucks, hoses, and extinguishers.
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Participate in regular training and exercises to maintain and improve your skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with other emergency responders, including police and medical personnel, to ensure a coordinated response to emergencies.
Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a physical fitness test and maintain a high level of physical fitness.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
