Job Title: Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at IMEG Corp. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Civil Engineer will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants to design, develop, and implement engineering solutions for various projects. This includes assisting in engineering analysis, design, field inspections, writing reports, preparing permit applications, site drainage & grading designs, and learning the Civil Engineering trade.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic calculations based on assignment, including hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, or calculations to balance site earthwork.
  • Assist in designing water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems.
  • Assist with grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects.
  • Assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
  • Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) License preferred.
