Job Title: Plumber Licensed Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Kentucky Department of Corrections is seeking a skilled Plumber Licensed Supervisor to join our team at the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting offenders in daily maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing facilities and fixtures. Responsibilities:

* Supervise and assist offenders in daily maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing facilities and fixtures while maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
* Alter and maintain existing plumbing systems and fixtures as well as plan any necessary installations of new systems and fixtures to meet institutional needs.
* Inspect, determine, and acquire all inputs, materials, and tools necessary to complete alterations and repairs of institutional plumbing systems.
* Complete daily tool inventories, address institutional work orders, and prepare offender time sheets.
* Order parts and materials necessary to complete assigned institutional plumbing repairs and new installations.
* Maintain an institutional service vehicle used to address facility repairs and installations.
* Prepare reports and attend trainings as required to best meet the needs of the institution.

Requirements:

* Must be licensed as a master plumber by the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.
* Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification.

Working Conditions:

* Work is performed primarily indoors.

Probationary Period:

* This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS.
