About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cutting Operator to join our team at Smartpress | The Bernard Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating our large format cutting machines to produce high-quality printed products for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate our large format cutting machines to produce a variety of printed products, including paper stock, vinyl, and laminated materials.
  • Design Execution: Execute designs and specifications received as part of the work order, ensuring accuracy and quality in every cut.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials, bits, blades, routing mats, and other essential supplies to ensure seamless production.
  • Communication: Collaborate with production leads and team members to ensure timely completion of jobs, address any issues, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Efficiency and Quality: Continuously seek opportunities to improve cutting methods, reduce waste, and maintain the highest level of quality in every product.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills.
