Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Owensboro Health, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician. Your primary responsibilities will include contributing to patient assessments, administering medications, and performing plan of care interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to Patient Assessments: Collect and review data to inform patient care decisions.
- Administer Medications: Safely administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform Plan of Care Interventions: Implement care plans to meet patient needs.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide education on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
- Comply with Nursing Practice Act: Perform job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required upon hire.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Certifications: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse and eligible to practice in the state of Kentucky required upon hire, and BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment.
